Biography

Naren Tallapragada is the CEO and Co-founder of Tessel Bio, a drug discovery company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Naren graduated from MIT in 2013, where he was Course 6 and Course 8. As a student, Naren lived in Burton Conner, then across the river at Phi Kappa Theta. He chaired the UA Committee on Education; started a political discussion group called The Forum, and led his class’s Senior Gift Committee. After college, Naren went to Harvard for grad school, receiving a PhD in Systems Biology in 2019. Naren’s career has taken him from politics and Big Tech back to science and startups, with stops along the way at Roivant, Google X, and Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign. Outside of work, Naren likes to cook, spend time with his family, and play volleyball and pub trivia alike.
