Peer Career Advisors

Peer Career Advisors (PCA) assist fellow MIT students during individual career appointments by reviewing resumes and cover letters, and offering guidance on a variety of topics such as internships, UROPS, and applying to graduate school. PCAs also collaborate with CAPD staff to develop and deliver programs and resources for MIT students.
Graduate Community Fellow: Grad Professional Development

Graduate Professional Development fellows help with the creation and delivery of professional development opportunities for graduate students. The fellow will develop programming for graduate students based on identified needs.

Alumni & Career Exploration Program Assistant

The CAPD Program Assistant manages and supports career programs during the school year with an emphasis on alumni events and career exploration. Program Assistants have the opportunity to:

gain leadership, communication, and program management experience while making a big impact by planning events for the entire MIT student body
learn more about careers and have the chance to explore for your own career

Graduate Community Fellow: Grad women’s programming
Graduate Community Fellow – Graduate Women’s programming Applications Open: Currently accepting applications, email eotero@mit.edu if interested Openings: 1 Compensation: Hourly pay Term: June – May 2025 with possibility of renewal
Plan, implement, and evaluate programs and events that promote the professional and leadership development of graduate women students, including the annual Path of Professorship workshop.
Assist in creation and stewardship of opportunities for graduate women to build and broaden networks of support to enhance the graduate experience; past examples include Mens et Manus et Salus and a celebration of graduate women.
Support other CAPD Graduate Student Professional Development initiatives
Position is open to graduate students only. Candidates should be interested in holding the position for 2 years.
Career Exploration Leaders

Career Exploration Leaders work with academic and student support departments, student groups, alumni, employers, and graduate/professional schools to coordinate and organize career exploration events throughout the academic year for undergrad and grad students.

The Communications Intern will manage two key parts of CAPD communications: the social media channels and the student story series. The internship can be shaped to match the intern’s communications interests, and training will be provided on journalistic interviewing, blogging, and social media management skills, as needed.
