The Automation team at the Veranova West Deptford site is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and improving the site automation and process control systems. The intern will manage 1-2 small automation projects from idea to implementation and assist with other key automation tasks such as improving control system graphics, develop and execute testing protocols for new work, and update system documentation as required.
Our program consists of a 10–12-week internship at our West Deptford, NJ location.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Work closely with an experienced automation engineer to execute one or two specific automation projects which they will own from start to finish.
- Update P&IDs and loop diagrams for active project.
- Write Qualification Protocols for active projects.
- Improve control system graphics on the DeltaV process control system.
- Carry out any other duties which are within the intern’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Qualifications
- Working towards a BS in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum Overall GPA of 2.7 required
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a true career aspiration to be a leader
- Must be adaptable, strive for excellence, and demonstrate a positive attitude in the face of adversity
- Strong interpersonal skills a must, coupled with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships to achieve results
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills essential
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
