Position Description
Performs entry-level administrative or technical support work. Work involves performing a wide range of administrative, technical, and office support work for the department. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor.
Essential Duties:
- Assists in maintaining confidential information and records.
- Assists in processing routine documents.
- Maintains files, records, and logs.
- Opens, sorts, and distributes mail.
- Performs HR related routine clerical work as assigned.
- Performs document management functions.
- Performs preliminary research on assignments and gathers pertinent data.
- Performs routine word processing duties and conducts quality checks of documents created.
- Assists with maintaining computer and hardware inventory records for new and surplus equipment.
- Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School / Entry Summer in recommended high school plan
Other Conditions:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver’s license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.
- Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school. Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver’s license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.
Education Preference : Majoring in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
