The Laboratory Research Intern provides laboratory support of day-to-day genetic therapies research activities. The Laboratory Research Intern assists in implementing and developing laboratory techniques necessary for moving preclinical research forward. This role requires a willingness to work with animal tissue, cell culture, and work within a laboratory environment. The Laboratory Research Intern will assist with ongoing preclinical research studies by assisting with materials preparation, proper documentation, as well as sample collection and processing. The Laboratory Research Intern will have the opportunity to work closely with researchers performing and analyzing preclinical experiments.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in the execution of preclinical research studies through materials preparation, proper documentation, and sample collection and processing.
- Act as designated scribe for research teams following GDP guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain reagents and inventory.
- Perform general laboratory maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with GCP/GLP guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- In the process of completing a major in Biology or related field

- Ability to execute protocols with strict adherence to written methods and SOPs
- Demonstrates great attention to detail

Program Timeline:
- This application is for a 10 or 12-week summer internship program that will either start on May 28th or June 10th.
- The program will conclude on August 16th, 2024.
This is a facility-dependent position where in-office presence is required four-five days a week.
This position requires work on site at one of Sarepta’s facilities in the United States.
The targeted salary range for this position is $21 – $25 per hour depending upon years of education completed and nature of role.
