Proskauer is seeking a Legal Recruiting Intern, reporting to the Senior Manager of Legal Recruiting, who will provide support and administrative assistance to the Firm’s Legal Recruiting Department. Interns should have a strong attention to detail and experience with data entry.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the Summer Program, including:
- Planning summer associate events
- Creating and updating charts
- Maintaining RSVP lists
- Preparing for Summer Program Committee meetings
- Tracking summer associate evaluations
- Preparing for mid-summer and end-of-summer reviews
- Scheduling trainings and preparing materials for students
- Prepare on-campus interview (OCI) materials for attorneys
- Prepare statistical reports for each law school
- Assist with scheduling multiple virtual interviews per day and handling cancellations/changes as they arise
- Track interview feedback
- Prepare materials for Hiring Committee meetings including resumes, transcripts and evaluations
- Generate response letters and track candidates in legal recruiting application tracking software (viRecruit)
- Review recruiting inbox and identify potential write-in candidate for screening interviews
- Track lateral searches and assist as needed on lateral recruiting efforts
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple, time-sensitive tasks and work well in a high-pressure environment, with a wide range of professionals
- Must assume responsibility for maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Flo Recruit and/or viRecruit a plus
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
This internship will run from May 13, 2024 through August 9, 2024.
This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation for this position is $17 per hour. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
