Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for an Energy Management Engineer. The ideal candidate will find innovative strategies to optimize the efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of some of the largest refrigeration systems and industrial warehouses in the nation. This position will create positive customer impacts that help reduce their energy usage and overall carbon footprint. You’ll be regularly interacting with customers and their refrigeration systems to identify energy anomalies, detect mechanical problems, and work with the customer to optimize their refrigeration systems; ultimately reducing environmental impact and cost.
Engineers will work in our office in Lyndhurst, VA, but will also visit customer facilities to perform inspections, commission new energy management processes, and other tasks.

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.
Key Duties:
- Developing and implementing cutting-edge energy models
- Advising customers on best practices and working collaboratively to achieve results
- Identifying deficiencies and providing cost-effective solutions
- Performing inspections and assessments of processes
- Performing analyses of new and existing systems
- Providing efficiency-focused instruction and training for customers
Requirements:
- BSME, BSEE, or BSIE (recent and upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Interest in mechanical systems, system optimization, process improvement or MEP construction
- EIT license or the desire to obtain the EIT preferred
- Possess a desire to work towards PE license (company will pay for candidates looking to achieve this)
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Some travel (10-25%) required
- Must be comfortable at heights while on a jobsite
- This position is a safety-sensitive position and will require pre-employment and regular drug testing
