This Student Engineer will act as Engineer/Scientist for the Energy Storage and Distributed Generation research program within the Integrated Grid and Energy Systems area of the Energy Delivery & Customer Solutions Sector.
This Student Engineer will perform engineering and scientific analysis connected to research in energy storage, distributed generation, and microgrids. They will work directly with EPRI staff, demonstrating creativity and ingenuity in providing technical solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Using EPRI-developed or commercial software models to perform technical or economic analysis
- Data analysis from field demonstration of energy storage technologies
- Investigation of emerging energy storage technologies, new DER technologies and potential applications
- Support of energy storage deployment activities
Education:
- Candidate must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program majoring in engineering, sciences, mathematics or economics at an accredited university
