Location: Washington, D.C.
Base annual salary: US$55,000. First year salary only, and salary increase with promotion would be expected following graduation from the Young Professionals Program.
The opportunity
Become a management consultant in the infrastructure sector and have an immediate impact. As an entry-level consultant, you’ll support the delivery of local, regional and national projects in the US while helping with business development activities. You’ll work with our US team which focuses on transportation and transit planning and development in cities and states across the country. You’ll also get a chance to work across the CPCS group which advises on transport, power and PPP projects around the world.
Our Young Professionals Program (YPP) trains entry-level consultants for a high-impact career in management consulting. You’ll be given a variety of assignments to gain exposure to different areas of our business.
Your responsibilities
You’ll contribute to different stages of a project lifecycle for public and private clients under the leadership of GO’s Vice President :
- Support business development, including preparation of proposals
- Carry out sectoral analyses using quantitative data and qualitative reviews of international best practices
- Support adaptation of analyses into recommendations
- Assist with project management and implementation
- Liaise with project teams, partner firms and clients

- Contribute to strategic, economic, and financial aspects of transportation and energy infrastructure projects
- Consult with stakeholders and draft findings to be presented in high-level meetings across the world and published in top business management publications
- Work with teammates to identify data-driven and impactful solutions to tough infrastructure issues

What you bring to the team
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, transport, engineering, or other relevant specialization
- Interest in consulting, research, policy, or other relevant roles
- Interest and passion for the transport sector
- Leadership experience acquired through school, work, or community involvement
- Ability to speak and write fluently in English. Fluency in Spanish is an asset, but not required.
- Technically skilled in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
- The legal right to work in the United States
