Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in our large molecule bioanalysis projects, contributing to cutting-edge research in the field. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct large molecule bioanalytical assays using techniques such as ligand-binding assays (ELISA, MSD), qPCR or ddPCR, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays like Elispot.
- Perform sample preparation, analysis, and data interpretation in accordance with project timelines and quality standards.
- Contribute to method development, optimization, and validation activities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of bioanalytical projects, as well as to meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and relevant scientific literature.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with fundamental biochemistry, including the nature and function of fundamental biomolecules such as RNA, DNA, enzymes, and antibodies.
- Familiarity with the process of gene expression and the factors that influence it.
- Familiarity with the concepts of cell signaling and basic immune system function.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory practices such as pipetting, formulating reagents, and sterile technique.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in experimental design and execution.
- Ability to take failure in stride and learn constructively from mistakes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a CRO environment or pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Previous experience performing ligand-binding assays such as ELISA or MSD, PCR, cell culture, flow cytometry, or other industry-standard bioanalytical assays.
- Knowledge of bioanalytical data analysis software tools.
- Experience in method development and validation for large molecules.
