What we’re looking for
We are looking for undergraduates with a demonstrated passion for social impact and an eagerness to gain skills both in project management, outreach, and mentorship. This is a role designed for undergrads seeking meaningful and diverse experience in the nonprofit sector.
In this role, you will act as project coach for 1-2 student impact teams at a time which are each developing various ways to solve a problem proposed by one of our partner nonprofits. These solutions include organizing fundraisers, creating tutoring curricula, working on deploying Rasperry Pis and more. Each student impact team consists of 2-3 high school students who may be based anywhere in the world.
While acting as a coach is a volunteer position within our organization requiring a commitment of 2-3 hours a week, joining our team as a Project Coach differs in its weekly hourly commitment, the number of teams managed, the focus on gaining a project management skillset, and the scope of your teams’ fundraising projects. As Project Coach, you will work directly with the ámaxa team to report on your teams’ progress and work in coordination with ámaxa’s COO to make your teams’ fundraising efforts a success.
