About the Position
Altus Power is currently seeking a highly motivated individual with the skills, experience, and aptitude to serve as our Community Solar and Billing Intern for Summer 2024. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in billing procedures and customer engagement within a fast-growing industry. You will work closely with our billing team and community solar managers to ensure accurate billing, resolve customer inquiries, and contribute to the success of our commercial and community solar projects.
Responsibilities:
• Asset Management/Community Solar Support:
• Validate commercial operation dates and system sizes to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Review various contract agreement information to support asset management process. Review Net metering credit agreements and power purchase agreements and extract relevant info.
• Validate Customer Team records and contracts for consistency and accuracy.
• Support in the onboarding and monitoring of Community Solar customer enrollment.
• Assist in maintaining the Community Solar billing tracker.
• Build relationships and explore new partnerships as part of our enterprise partnership program initiative.
• Customer Experience/Billing:
• Organize and maintain customer contact information systematically.
• Assist in generating monthly invoices promptly for commercial customers.
• Collaborate closely with the Billing team to uphold accurate billing records.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Environmental Studies, or another related field
• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite Applications (i.e., word, excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Passion for renewable energy
• Ability to commute to our Stamford, CT office (Monday-Friday)
