Qualifications
Strong applicants will have:
- excellent analytical, quantitative, communications, and on-line search skills
- strong academic record
- experience in analyzing large data sets
- experience extracting, analyzing, and synthesizing data from medical publications
- knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly Excel
- ability to communicate insights gleaned from modeling through graphs, charts, and other visual tools using strong graphic skills
- basic SAS programming knowledge a plus
Education
Recent graduates with Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, biology, or other highly analytical discipline.
Job Responsibilities and Relevant Skill Set
- work independently or as part of a team, depending on the scale of the project, and working on several projects in parallel
- conduct epidemiological, treatment, and R&D pipeline research in various diseases for the United States, Europe, Japan, and other countries
- prepare and present detailed unmet need analysis of diseases and assess competitive landscapes (existing competitors, potential new entrants) to support clients’ drug discovery and development strategies
- research and write blog posts for company website
- analyze quantitative and qualitative data obtained from primary and secondary market research from physicians and prescription data from health databases
- work with models and analyze large sets of patient-level claims data
- conduct interviews with expert physicians to understand current treatment practices and assess the uptake and use of new treatments entering the market
