POSITION: Sustainability Intern

May 2024 – August 2024
SALARY: $20 per hour– Up to 40 hours/week
Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sustainability Department in the Community Development Division is seeking to hire an environmental/sustainability student to assist the staff in launching the City’s Sustainability Plan, managing energy and greenhouse gas emission data, performing community outreach, social media and engagement activities, and other work associated with the daily functions of the Department and Division. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, research, design, calculations, field investigations, and records management.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be full time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Planning or related degree
- Coursework in sustainability and environmental preferred
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
