BCG Accelerate & Bridge-to-BCG for PhDs

This spring, BCG invites PhDs and postdocs to delve into the world of management consulting and learn how your experience as an Advanced Degree Candidate (ADC) can help BCG clients solve their biggest problems. There will be a variety of opportunities to connect with the firm, including our new BCG Accelerate info series, virtual coffee chats and MIT-specific events. Our spring programming will provide an overview of consulting, opportunities to connect with BCGers and information on our recruiting process for our application-based Bridge-to-BCG program. Details about all our applications and programs can be found below.

Bridge-to-BCG 2024

The Bridge to BCG program (Click to Apply here) is a 2-day immersive consulting workshop that gives Ph.D. and other advanced degree candidates a chance to learn about the Boston Consulting Group and careers in consulting.

Over these 2 days, you’ll solve a mini-business case with a small team of other participants managed by a real project leader (i.e., a mid-level manager). This mini case interview will give you a feel for the kinds of problems BCG solves for clients. The experience will also give you the opportunity to meet tons of BCG consultants from recent hires to senior partners. Bridge to BCG is a great way for you to see whether consulting is for you.

Candidates selected to participate in Bridge-to-BCG will have the opportunity to join one of two program options:
In-person: May 21-22, 2024
Virtual: May 15-16, 2024

Offering both an in-person and virtual option allows us to expand our reach and provide more flexibility for participants. Both programs will provide you with the opportunity to test drive the consulting experience and get to know our consulting staff and fellow participants.

If selected for the in-person program, you will be invited to the Bridge to BCG program location closest to your campus or home. We will cover round-trip transportation and one night at a hotel for out-of-town guests. Meal and reasonable expenses associated with the program are covered for all attendees.

To learn more about Bridge, please visit our website. Please note that applications will close March 20, 2024 at 11:59pm ET.
