QS World University Rankings rates MIT #1 in graduate employability for 2022

MIT has maintained its no. 1 place in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings’ Graduate Employability Rankings for 2022. Stanford University, UCLA, The University of Sydney, and Harvard University completed this year’s top five, respectively.

The Institute received a perfect score of 100, which combines four weighted indicators into account: Employer Reputation, Alumni Outcomes, Employer-Student Connections, Partnerships with Employers, and Graduate Employment Rate. MIT earned 100.00 in three indicators — Employer Reputation, Alumni Outcomes, and Partnerships with Employers — as well as a 96.0 in Employer-Student Connections and a 79.3 in Graduate Employment Rate.

These indicators are based on both submitted and collected data, including the number of non-research partnerships with employers, the percentage of alumni employed 6 months after graduation, and the number of alumni listed in vetted distinguished achievers lists.

Earlier this year, MIT was again named the world’s top university by the QS World University Rankings, This is the 10th year in a row MIT received this distinction.
