Who do you want to meet with?

Meet with a Career Advisor

Career Services for MIT Undergraduate & Graduate Students

Schedule career appointments year-round for in-depth discussions about your future plans. This might include self-assessment, career exploration, internship, job, or academic search strategies, resume/cover letter or other professional document reviews, mock interviews, networking strategies, negotiation, and more. Resume/cover letter appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, while all others are 50 minutes long.

We are currently in the exciting process of upgrading our CareerBridge system this summer. While we are transitioning our system, please book career appointments happening after June 21st by calling our main CAPD office during business hours at 617-715-5329 or by scheduling in person at the E17-294 reception desk.

Career Services Quick Queries

We offer quick queries for resume or cover letter reviews and to answer shorter career questions during high volume times, typically in September and October. These 15-minute meetings with a Career Advising & Professional Development staff member take place in E17-294.

Quick query spots become available to schedule on CareerBridge one week prior.  (No drop-in appointments will be available.)

For more involved conversations, to review multiple documents, or for a mock interview, see our information above on booking Career Services Appointments.

Meet with a Prehealth Advisor

Prehealth Drop-ins

Drop-ins are held during the school year every Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in E17-294. There are no Prehealth Advising drop-ins during IAP and the summer. Use drop-ins for quicker questions (15 minutes).

Prehealth Appointments

Schedule prehealth appointments for general prehealth needs, essay critiques or practice interviews. Call 617-715-5328 to schedule an in-person, video or phone appointment (generally 30-60 minutes). Call in advance to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you are 15 minutes late for an appointment, you will need to reschedule. For essay critique appointments, you should send your essay 24 hours prior to your appointment to the assigned counselor. For critiques via email, send a Word document version (no PDFs) to prehealthessaycrits@mit.edu. Reviewed essays should be returned within 3-4 days.
