Career Services for MIT Undergraduate & Graduate Students
While our physical office is currently closed, we continue to advise students through virtual meetings. You may schedule a video or phone appointment in your Handshake account. The Career Services Team supports students during career appointments to explore, plan, and prepare for their future after MIT. This might include self-assessment, career exploration, internship, job, or academic search strategies, resume/cover letter or other professional document reviews, behavioral mock interviews, presentation and job talk practice, networking strategies, negotiation, and more.
Drop-ins are held during the school year every Tuesday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in E17-294. There are no Prehealth Advising drop-ins during IAP and the summer. Use drop-ins for quicker questions (15 minutes).
Schedule Prehealth appointments for general Prehealth needs, essay critiques or practice interviews. In Handshake, you can schedule a video or phone appointment which will be conducted via Zoom (generally 30-60 minutes). In-person appointments will be suspended until further notice. You can cancel or reschedule an appointment in Handshake as well. Please call 617-715-5328 if you have questions. If you are 15 minutes late for an appointment, you will need to reschedule. For essay critique appointments, you should send your essay 24 hours prior to your appointment to the assigned counselor. For critiques via email, send a Word document version (no PDFs) to email@example.com. Reviewed essays should be returned within 3-4 days.
