Biography
Joy received her doctorate in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science in 2015 from MIT. She was a NSF Fellow and Intel GEM PhD Fellow while at MIT, where her research focused on theoretical semiconductor process modeling, inventing environmentally-benign fabrication processes and electrochemical energy systems. She led a team doing advanced process research in emerging technology development for MicroLED displays as a Senior Hardware Engineering Manager and Technology Center Lead.
This year she has turned her sights on shipping her first iPhone display.
She has served on the boards of STEM-related non-profits focused on providing technical and research experiences for minorities and women, including i-Trek and INTech Camp for Girls. Joy is passionate about helping other folks find interest in engineering +flying Cessnas + finding half marathons to run!
