Connect with B.B in this year’s mentoring circles.

Biography:

Simply known as “B.B.” by everyone except telemarketers —is a mom by choice, an economist by training, a management consultant by profession, and a founder by calling.

B.B.’s journey weaves personal experience into professional purpose. She founded AnetaEd.com, an EdTech company that helps kids independently explore enriching online content—an idea sparked by the struggle to guide her own children through the vastness of the internet. Her passion for healthcare improvement began when her father’s brain tumor diagnosis exposed her family to the chasms in the U.S. healthcare system. At the time, she was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, and that experience launched her focus on healthcare transformation. She later deepened this work at the Advisory Board Company before founding Sound Health Advisory, LLC, an independent healthcare strategy firm.

B.B. holds dual undergraduate degrees in Materials Science & Engineering and Economics from MIT—where she was also a track athlete—and earned her Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University.

Beyond her professional pursuits, B.B. finds joy in many places including Lowes’ Garden center, a good book and playing the piano. She lives in Cheverly MD with her two daughters and their 90-pound dog.
