The MIT Science Policy Initiative, founded in 2007, is a group of postdocs, graduate, and undergraduate students who work closely with the MIT DC Office and other science policy advocates to foster discourse between the scientists of tomorrow and policy-makers of today.
The Science Policy Initiative believes that early career scientists and engineers can benefit by learning about and engaging with the world of science policy and legislation, and provide opportunities and resources to do so. Postdocs and students in their programs not only learn how national leaders make and legislate science policies, but also get valuable on-the-Hill advocacy experience.
