AMITA seeks to: (1) to provide a means for women former students of MIT to maintain communication with each other and with the Institute, and to undertake such activities of common interest and purpose as are deemed appropriate by the membership; (2) to encourage high standards of achievement among the women students and to advance their general welfare; and (3) to maintain such relationships with the Institute as will support MIT’s constructive role in our society
