Students with a background in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, and/or mechanical engineering may apply for our paid summer internship. Our tech spec interns gain hands-on experience by participating in a wide variety of work with our technology specialists, patent agents and attorneys. Examples include meeting with inventors, drafting patent applications about their inventions, and responding to Patent Office inquiries. We pair each summer intern with a mentor who will provide support and guidance throughout the internship. Throughout the summer, there will be opportunities to learn about new and exciting technologies, to work closely with experts in the field of patent law, and to understand how intellectual property plays a vital role in shaping a company’s business.
