Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Planning Specialist 4 to serve as a Grants Analyst in a project (limited duration) position. This position performs professional level transportation planning assignments for state and federal zero emission vehicle infrastructure grant programs and processes. The Grants Analyst independently selects and applies techniques, interpretations, and evaluation of data to draw conclusions for required compliance, accountability, and transparency in the delivery and technical assistance of grants for electric vehicle charging equipment and hydrogen refueling stations along highway corridors. This position must be able to perform in a rapidly growing and changing technical environment for light, medium, and heavy-duty alternative fuel vehicles. With limited supervision, this project position develops strategies to streamline and enhance project and program delivery for required planning activities that track precursors to grant eligibility and performance measurement through grant close out. This position serves as a team leader on time focused grant projects with deliverables that support the state’s transportation electrification goals. It also provides subject matter expertise in the areas of federal and state grant programs; planning; project development; and, management, working collaboratively with internal and external partners.
