About the host company
Magma is the leading platform for data-driven math education. By leveraging handwritten solutions in a digital format, Magma allows teachers to place emphasis on creativity in math, while gaining key insights on student progression. This creates a more engaging, inclusive, and pedagogical math class for all students.
Math remains the largest challenge for schools, where one in five students in year 8 are low performers. Math is one of the core pillars on which careers are built, and we believe that K-12 math represents one of the largest opportunities at improving educational outcomes and career prospects for children and young adults.
Originally founded in Stockholm, Sweden, Magma is now growing rapidly in the US. We are an ambitious team on a meaningful mission of improving math education for millions of children.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Growth Intern to help us reach more teachers and students to make a lasting impact on how math is taught. As a Growth Intern you will be working in the intersection of tech, marketing and content at Magma. You will be working creatively with initiatives that drive signups, activation, and usage. It will be equally important to develop effective strategies as executing on these and following up on results. To succeed in growth it will be important to test ideas quickly, and learn rapidly.
Growth Intern is an intersectional role and you will be working closely with large parts of the organization, and with the founding team. The role is entrepreneurial, meaning that you’ll have a large degree of freedom in the strategies you decide to employ in order to reach your goals.
