About the host company
Bengt Dahlgren Stockholm AB is a privately-owned technical consultancy company active within the field of civil engineering that provides qualified engineers within a variety of disciplines, including installation, fire & risk, building & property, and energy & environment. They have more than 550 employees throughout Sweden. They have been voted Best Employer on several occasions. This is thanks to their well-established, and also very highly appreciated, culture among their employees but also among customers and potential recruits.
Therefore they have committed to prioritizing the maintenance of their culture which under a period of intensive growth can easily be undermined.
They are looking for an intern in the field of civil engineering or with skills within one of their service areas (https://en.bengtdahlgren.se/service-areas/). You will assist their consultants with calculations, designs, site visits, documentation, and more, depending on your level of skills. The work is varied and can also change depending on your interests, initiatives, and knowledge. Their official company language is Swedish but they have several consultants who are English-speaking and they are used to accommodating international interns. They offer help in finding accommodation and if circumstances allow they will organize field trips to their other offices across Sweden.
They are looking for a student who is eager to learn and someone who can take initiative. Someone who has at least a basic knowledge of their service areas and is studying a subject within their field. Preferably you are familiar with design programs such as CAD, MagiCAD, Revit, or similar. Skills in Excel are valued, as are social skills and proficiency in English, however, it is perfectly OK if English is your second language.
The position is paid, with the amount to be decided together with the intern.
