Sharing Excess utilizes a chapter-based impact model that empowers college students to work with their university, community, and local food providers to reduce food waste and local food insecurity. Each campus chapter has its own structure, community, geography, and abilities to make local impact. As a Campus Coordinator, you will be guiding Sharing Excess chapters towards organized, strategic, and sustainable operations. You will work directly with the leadership of each student organization to ensure they are building culture, meeting impact goals, and growing the mission of Sharing Excess to new areas.
Responsibilities include: Establishing and maintaining an effective communication channel to coordinate with chapters on an individual and communal basis. Helping chapters create, execute and quantify their individual Impact Plan. Ensuring and enforcing impact milestones, timelines, expectations, and data reports in a timely manner. Creating objective checklists for supplies, structure, university approvals, partnerships and any additional requirements for the chapter to launch effectively. Keeping a record of chapter membership, leadership, events, and impact to date. Problem solving, partnership coordination, and drafting of agreements and contracts.
Recommended qualifications include: a high level of organizational discipline, strong communication skills, ability to maintain simultaneous relationships, positive attitude, ability to make presentations quickly, and leadership within team structures.
