As an Associate Scientist on our P&G R&D Packaging team in Mason, OH you will use your passion for sustainability improvements, data analyses and engineering background to touch and improve the lives of our consumers via packaging design and development. You will work on projects and with multi-functional teams to influence business strategy and packaging design and will deliver key initiatives to win with consumers and deliver sustainable results for our Company
An Associate Scientist, you will apply academic background, practical hands-on experience, and sound scientific method to generate and interpret data, solve problems, and make discoveries and connections against project needs and problem resolution. You will develop a thorough understanding of the fundamental science and technology in packaging and use hands-on, in the “lab” experimentation to deliver against the objectives of the project initiatives. You will also develop skills and approaches consistent with a learning culture and “innovation through experimentation,” valuing and learning from both success and failure. You will be responsible to grow knowledge of competitive approaches and current industry norms relative to recycling classifications.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
* Have passion about discovering new things and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments and diverse business scenarios
* Demonstrate hands-on approach to independently execute established methods and procedures to generate reliable data. Ability to determine next steps based on results; develop and validate new approaches and methods.
* Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
* Have some mastery in packaging technologies
* Ability to deliver against project timing and commitments
* Demonstrated technical communication of experimentation, results and recommendations
* Sound skills in Microsoft tools i.e. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), basic statistical knowledge
