NMR is currently seeking candidates for a Communications Coordinator position. We are a small but expanding consulting firm specializing in the evaluation of energy-efficiency and renewable energy programs.
Candidates should have two to five years of experience serving in a position that includes copy editing, proofreading, and formatting documents, and experience or interest in assisting with developing proposals and marketing plans and materials. Experience in data visualization or graphic design is a plus. As much of the work is performed under tight deadlines, successful candidates will have the judgment to identify the appropriate level of editing and formatting to perform given the deadline and relative importance of the work product and must be capable of carrying out their duties speedily without sacrificing accuracy. Candidates should have completed a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in English, journalism, communication, marketing, or another relevant field.
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
— Copy editing, proofreading, and formatting reports, presentations, proposals, and conference papers
— Organizing and coordinating the development of technical proposals with multiple authors
— Assisting in marketing efforts, including:
- Collaborating on the development of marketing materials and events
- Creating and posting corporate communications on social media
- Helping to ensure consistency in corporate messaging and image
- Making simple updates to company website
- Tracking marketing opportunities and outreach
— Depending on the skills and interest of the successful candidate, responsibilities may also include:
- Designing graphic content to convey data and findings clearly
- Creating and updating templates for documents and presentations
- Periodically hiring and supervising a communications intern to assist with this work
