KYBER KNIGHT CAPITAL ASSOCIATE POSITION

Kyber Knight Capital brings a unique approach to venture capital with its mission to provide innovative early-stage companies and founders access to a network of highly successful and influential executives that can help them establish a framework of scalable success.

Founded by seasoned investors and founders Sunny Dhillon and Linus Liang, Kyber Knight offers a hands-on collaborative approach and is hyper-focused on pre-seed and seed investing between $250,000 and $3,000,000 in companies that are building across commerce, AI, and labor.

Kyber Knight, established in 2023, has raised from 50+ CEO, founders, executives of top tech startups, and Fortune 500 companies. These highly influential and successful people are known as our “Luminary Leaders” and include Alphabet, Inc. Chairman John Hennessy, former CEO of eBay and Hewlett Packard, Board Member P&G and GM Meg Whitman, former President of Dreamworks Animation Chris DeFaria, former CEO of The Walt Disney Company Michael Eisner, and AirBnB Founder Joe Gebbia, among others.

We’re an investment team of three, with two partners and one associate. Both the partners are former entrepreneurs themselves with decades of experience in the technology industry

The Role: Venture Associate

Kyber Knight Capital is seeking a full-time Associate who will focus on sourcing new investments and report to the Managing Partners. This position will offer significant involvement and impact in all aspects of the investment process. Applicants must have a balance of analytical rigor and strong communication skills.

The role’s responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing investment opportunities
  • Conducting due diligence and reference calls
  • Creating presentation materials for investment committee review and highlighting key transaction considerations
  • Financial and Valuation Analysis
  • Competitive and Market Research
  • Run elements of the investment process and CRM
  • Building relationships with and supporting CEOs and world-class management teams
  • Analyze and track portfolio performance

Qualifications:

The Associate must have the following characteristics:

  • A strong work ethic, sense of initiative, willingness and ability to learn quickly, and high emotional intelligence.
  • A deep interest in the technology industry and startup ecosystem.
  • Evidence of academic or extracurricular achievement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The Associate would preferably have any or all of the following characteristics:

  • At least 1-2 years experience with financial analysis or market research.
  • Experience working in the startup ecosystem or in a technical capacity (e.g. computer science, engineering, etc.)
