The candidate will be working in a team of engineers who design electronics for image acquisition and data path subsystems of a reticle inspection tool. The candidate will produce ASIC designs and modifications by identifying design objectives and issues; researching and developing application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) engineering techniques and approaches; verifying and validating designs; maintaining documentation; and working with vendors. The candidate should have experience in components selection, schematic capture, interface with PCB layout vendors and design debug. The candidate will work closely with FPGA and firmware designers to do characterization and test of ASIC. Desired qualifications include experience with block-level RTL coding in Verilog, verification, validation, synthesis and timing analysis; mixed signal design and ASIC/SoC implementation; Synopsys, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics verification tools; Matlab/Simulink simulation and modeling tools; familiarity with digital logic and FPGA implementation are desired.
Minimum Qualifications: BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
