We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Lab of Dr. Steffen Durinck in the Department of Oncology Bioinformatics at Genentech. The successful applicant will have deep knowledge of computational biology, molecular biology, genomics, single cell sequencing technologies and data analysis.
The postdoc will be working in close collaboration with our bench scientist collaborators, to develop novel computational methods to study cell lineage tracing and subsequently apply these to a variety of biological systems with the ultimate goal to obtain novel biological insights. A second focus will revolve around characterization and study of the role of small ORFs in normal intestine development and cancer. The expectation is that this work will result in significant advances and publications in top tier journals.
The qualified individual will possess a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field with a strong publication record that includes at least one first authored publication. Excellent communication and writing skills as well as a track record of working in highly collaborative environments is a must.
