Responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to relieve sales department managers or staff of administrative details. May take and deliver messages, provide information to callers, set up and maintain files, provide workers with office supplies, prepare and sort mail, perform word-processing of assignments, proofread, and research and compile special reports. Operates automated office equipment. Tasks & Responsibilities: Provide clerical support to sales and management staff, including typing correspondence and auditing expense reports Answer telephone inquiries, visitors, and incoming correspondence. Respond to requests for information concerning office sales procedures Learn company sales and pricing policies and strategies. May assist in establishing pricing for customers Review outgoing materials and correspondence for internal consistency and conformance with sales department policies Prepare revenue figures for monthly reports. Assemble relevant data and compile statistics and information as directed. Generate management reports as required Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires analytical evaluation and exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Log, follow-up, and prepare recap of all sales leads generated Collect information from the files or staff for routine inquiries on office programs or periodic reports
Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills This is a senior level position; normally receive no instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Must have problem solving skills. Solid interpersonal and analytical skills are required. Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Powerpoint) proficiency is required. High school diploma or equivalent required, College degree preferred. Generally prefer 3-6 years of experience. Must be able to communicate clearly. Other applicable duties as assigned by management.
