The City of Portland Bureau of Parks and Recreation (PP&R) is seeking two Senior Community Engagement Coordinators!
The Community Engagement Team works within the Community Relations unit to support ongoing and authentic engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring that all public involvement processes are in alignment with PP&R Public Involvement protocols and policies.
The Community Relations unit provides support, capacity building, technical assistance, and independent project work for all PP&R work units around community relations needs. This includes volunteerism, outreach and engagement (specifically to underserved communities), public involvement, development (grants/sponsorship), marketing, partnerships, media relations, and communications (including crisis communications). The goal of this support and work is to increase the visibility, equitability, accessibility, and responsiveness of the parks systems and to cultivate an engaged and diverse parks community throughout the City of Portland.
