Healthcare contributes to 10% of the greenhouse gas emissions in the United States every year; resulting in an impact on climate change and public health. To ensure that we are addressing this issue head-on, BIDMC has set sustainability goals related to carbon emissions, waste, green commuting, responsible procurement, and local & sustainable food. This position will collaborate with the Sustainability Program Manager to improve the marketing and communication strategy in alignment with the Strategic Action Plans. This includes, but is not limited to, improving the internal and external webpages related to the promotion of the goals and highlighting the progress towards them in a visually appealing and engaging manner; designing marketing materials engrained in behavior change best practices; and implementing strategies to engage both remote and on-campus employees.
Skills, qualifications and other requirements:
1. 0-1 years related work experience (required);
2. Strong written communication skills
3. Ability to display creativity, exercise sound judgment and demonstrate
4. Strong technical aptitude and experience with computer systems and web
design, including Microsoft Office applications and HTML (required)
5. Experience with
designing content in Lucidpress or similar tools (preferred)
6. An interest in environmental
7. 2+ years of undergraduate courses (preferred)
