We are a fast-moving, AI-first team building the “operating system” for event investing—a platform that makes speculation obsolete and structured event investing inevitable. As an ambitious, mission-driven team, we are building a category-defining company at the intersection of sports, finance, and AI.
Role Overview
As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our product engineering team, contributing directly to our consumer-facing platform. This is a unique opportunity for a curious and ambitious student to gain hands-on experience building a real-world product from the ground up. You will work alongside senior engineers and product leaders, learning how to build delightful user experiences and ship high-quality code in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to Feature Development: Assist in building and shipping new product features across the frontend and backend under the guidance of a mentor.
- Frontend & Backend Tasks: Work on specific components and tasks for both our user interface (using TypeScript, Svelte/React) and our backend services.
- Collaborate and Learn: Partner with full-time engineers, product managers, and designers to understand product requirements and contribute to technical discussions.
- Write and Test Code: Write clean, maintainable code for your assigned projects and learn to create tests to ensure quality and reliability.
- Problem Solving: Tackle challenging technical problems and contribute to a codebase that powers a real-time, data-intensive application.
Qualifications
- Required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Required: Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles from your coursework.
- Required: Solid programming experience with web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS).
- Required: A passion for building things and a keen interest in product and user experience.
- Required: Excellent communication skills, a strong desire to learn, and a proactive attitude.
- Required: A self-starter mentality with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
- Preferred: Familiarity with modern web frameworks like Svelte, React, or Vue.
- Preferred: Personal projects showcased on a portfolio or GitHub.
- Preferred: An interest in sports, prediction markets, or financial markets.
