Postdoctoral Fellow – Genome Analysis Unit
The group of Quantitative Molecular Biology in the Genome Analysis Unit (GAU) at Amgen South San Francisco is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow in the fields of onco-immunology and/or functional genomics and multi-omics analysis. The ideal candidate will work with talented scientists to explore, identify and characterize the biological function of key genes that modulate the transition or maintenance of the heterogeneity of active immune cell subsets in immune disease or cancer by utilizing gene perturbation and cutting-edge single-cell sequencing technologies. The successful applicant will perform innovative research within the context of a highly collaborative environment and with access to state-of-the-art technologies and resources.
The focus of the postdoctoral fellow will be to perform high throughput screening to identify key drivers of immune cells; to investigate the method of action of identified factors; to validate critical transcriptional regulation or ligand-receptor signaling through in vitro and in vivo experiments. The postdoctoral fellow will independently design, execute experiments, and perform analysis and interpretation as well as draft and publish the results in prestigious peer-reviewed journals.
The postdoctoral position is for 3 years with the option to extend for an additional year.

- PhD at the time of appointment
- Ph.D. in immunology, oncology, genomics, or cellular/ molecular biology
- One or more first author research publications in high quality journals
