In light of MIT's escalated response to the Covid-19 virus, rooms for the purpose of conducting phone or video interviews are no longer available for student use.
Our rooms located in E17-294 provide phone and secure wi-fi access, and give you a quiet private space to speak without distraction. Rooms can be used to conduct phone or video job intervies, graduate school interviews, info interviews with employers and alumni, PhD Chalk Talks, etc. You may use your own phone and/or laptop if you choose; please note that cellular signal is very limited in our building and ‘wi-fi calling’ should be enabled on your device prior to your meeting to ensure connectivity.
Employers looking to book a room to conduct student interviews should do so via Handshake.
Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., except holidays and school closings.
- Requests for an interview room must be placed a minimum of two business days in advance of the needed time.
- If the request is placed less than two business days in advance, the request may not filled.
- During peak employer recruiting seasons (Late Sept – Oct), there may be lower availability due to employer interviews.
- You MUST receive an email confirmation for your request. Until you receive confirmation, the room is NOT reserved.
