There will be no Global Fellows Program in Spring of 2017 due to a transition with the Office of the Dean for Graduate Education.
About the Program: Develop the skills to launch and manage a successful research career.
Global Fellows is an intensive 5-day program for PhD students jointly offered by MIT and Imperial College London, a science-based institution consistently rated amongst the world's best universities.
Through presentations, interactive work and hands-on activities, 40 participants (20 each from MIT and Imperial) develop the professional skills required to launch and manage a successful research career. Emphasis is placed on creating and sustaining successful international research collaborations.
Topics covered include:
- Building successful working relationships and collaborations
- Team and project development
- Global intercultural skills and communication
Participants work in small groups with either an MIT or Imperial facilitator. Faculty members from each university present on the topic of developing and managing international collaborations as an integral part of a research career.
