Distinguished Fellowships

If you have a strong GPA and are looking for funding for graduate school or independent research, consider applying for a distinguished fellowship.

For many of these awards, MIT selects or endorses students through an internal process before the national deadline. Some fellowships are only available for U.S. citizens. If you are interested in any of these scholarships, contact fellowships@mit.edu.

Explore scholarship websites listed in the Explore Fellowships section to learn about eligibility, selection criteria, application materials, and timeline. And remember to start exploring early to build a strong application.

The Distinguished Fellowships Office works only with currently enrolled or alumni MIT students applying for competitive national and international awards.

Our internal deadline to apply for MIT nominations for Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell, and Churchill is June 24th at 4pm. Please email fellowships@mit.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
