minimum – full semester)
We have several areas of focus for our internships, including:
Communications
Our Comms intern team works across TG social media platforms, curating and creating content, graphics, collaterals, and quarterly newsletter.
Internship roles include:
- Designing digital campaigns around TG programs, relevant themes, holidays, current events, our partners, and relevant news topics
- Planning, writing, and editing original pieces for the quarterly newsletter and website
- Creating, sharing and publishing content and digital assets for programs including Project Green Challenge, Conscious Kitchen, and more.
Project Green Challenge
Project Green Challenge is a powerful, diverse call to action with 30 days of eco-themed challenges each October since 2011. Built around conscious living, grassroots advocacy, informed consumption, and movement building, as over 2m participants have transitioned from conventional to conscious by shifting mindsets and behavior.
Internship roles include:
- Challenge research and writing
- Development of 30-days of themed resources
- Strategy development for student participant outreach and engagement
- Speaker research, outreach and engagement
- New non-profit partner outreach and engagement
- New corporate partner outreach and engagement
- Daily prize outreach and curation
- Data mapping projects
Conscious Kitchen
Conscious Kitchen is committed to food equity, education and access, shifting the paradigm around school food, while cultivating a local ecological food system, and building nutrition literacy into meals. CK partners with schools and communities to source, prepare and serve FLOSN food: fresh, local, organic, seasonal, nutritious.
Internship roles include:

Assisting in building an organic supply chain for local school districts, including:
- Researching and contacting potential suppliers
- Researching different food procurement methods
- Keeping track of products, pricing, contact information, etc.
- Creating weekly food-related educational content / infographics
- Supporting the development of Conscious Kitchen Ambassador program
- Conducting policy research pertaining to school food systems
- Social media content creation and promotion
- Marketing and special project development

- Mapping Conscious Kitchen suppliers and story of each supplier.
Organizational Support
General support for PGC programs working with staff
Annual Harvest Benefit development and support
Special Skills
We welcome students with expertise in certain areas including graphic design, animation, data mapping, ArcGIS story mapping
