About you:
We are looking for a software development intern who will be expected to contribute right away as a member of our team working on traffic flow management logic and software development.
We are bringing Swift Rails to market, so we don’t want our interns to sit on the sidelines and enjoy the view — we want you to help us get to market quickly while putting quality in the forefront of what you do so that we enable customers to have an excellent user experience allowing us to change the way we use transportation around the world and create more sustainable, livable urban environments!
Job Responsibilities:
· Assist in the development of system traffic flow management software
· Assist in the development of mobile app prototype
· Produce complex system traffic flow simulations to be used for testing and demonstrations
· Collaborate with Swift Rails staff to define, design, and implement the above
· Practice good code management using tools such as Visual Studio and Gitlab.
· Implement code fixes as directed
· Develop well-tuned code that may be included as part of our next software release
· Develop automated tests and testing infrastructure
Job Skills Requirements:
· Ability to quickly learn new technologies, think logically, and be open minded and creative
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Academic or professional/internship experience with Java
· Understanding of object-oriented programming/design
· Be a self-starter with natural curiosity and possessing strong sense of self-motivation
· Candidate will work with staff members so interpersonal skills are a must.
· Coursework in SQL and relational database concepts
· Strong competency in javascript and associated frameworks
· Strong competency in C#, C++
· Familiarity with Unity Engine or Unity 3D development a big plus
· Familiarity with Android Studio a plus
· Prefer college junior or higher but will consider other applicants with demonstrated programming experience in the relevant technologies.
· Working towards a BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related; it is the elite coding skills that matter most.
· GPA of 3.0 or better.
