At CAPD, we help MIT students identify, explore, and apply to competitive domestic and international fellowships, and we guide you through every part of the journey. Our dedicated fellowship advisors provide the personalized advice and deep expertise required to compete for these prestigious awards.
If you have a strong GPA and are looking for funding for graduate school or independent research, consider applying for a distinguished fellowship.
For many of these awards, MIT selects or endorses students through an internal process before the national deadline. Some fellowships are only available for U.S. citizens. If you are interested in any of these scholarships, contact fellowships@mit.edu.

The Distinguished Fellowships Office works only with currently enrolled or alumni MIT students applying for competitive national and international awards. If you are looking for funding for MIT graduate studies, contact the Office of Graduate Education’s Fellowships team (grad-fellowships@mit.edu).

- If you are interested in applying for the internal deadline for the Rhodes and Marshall nominations on June 4th at 5pm ET, please refer to this page for application details and information.
- The Fulbright internal deadline is in August. Complete the internal application form by August 6 at 4pm ET and submit your application materials by August 27 at 4pm ET. Application and complete details available here.
