MIT named a top producer of Fulbright U.S. students for sixth consecutive year

February 25 — Today, the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs recognized MIT as one of the colleges and universities with the highest number of students selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. This recognition for the 2024-2025 cycle marks the sixth consecutive year that MIT has maintained its place as a Fulbright Top Producing Institution.

11 MIT undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni were selected for Fulbright awards for academic year 2024-25, and two other students were offered awards but declined them to pursue other opportunities.

The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international academic exchange program. Since 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided over 400,000 talented and accomplished students, scholars, teachers, artists, and professionals of all backgrounds with the opportunity to study, teach, and conduct research abroad. Fulbrighters exchange ideas, build people-to-people connections, and work to address complex global challenges. Fulbright is a program of the U.S. Department of State, with funding provided by the U.S. Government. Participating governments and host institutions, corporations, and foundations around the world also provide direct and indirect support to the Program.

MIT students and alumni interested in applying to the Fulbright U.S. Student Program should contact Julia Mongo, MIT Fulbright Program Advisor, in the Office of Distinguished Fellowships in Career Advising and Professional Development.
