Research Mentoring Certificate Program

Thursday mornings in January

MIT is launching a Research Mentoring Certificate Program this IAP (January 2022). This 4-week session is open to all graduate students at MIT interested in mentoring and will cover the fundamentals of research mentoring. Over the course of the program, students will build skills in evidence-based mentoring competencies, including maintaining effective communication, aligning expectations, addressing equity and inclusion, and assessing understanding. The workshop will involve active participation, such as discussions of case studies and individual experiences.

The 4 sessions will be held from 9:30-11:30AM on Zoom on January 6, 13, 20, and 27th.
